A brilliant weaving of textures across this debut five-song EP. Warm guitar strums, rich twelve-string chimes, and layers of boys and girls singing in close harmony across songs that recall the poppier moments of the Beatles and The Byrds. What may at first sound sugary-sweet, with its ba-ba-bas and its ooh-oohs, is balanced out masterfully with a doleful, tentative lyrical approach. Recorded in their hometown of Perth, Western Australia, “Good Looks To Camera” is but a mere waft of The Bank Holidays’ amazing live set.
