You will not get an apology from this band. They don’t apologise for the rawness of the recordings as this is the real deal and frankly, what else would you expect from a band called The Cigarette Bums? They don’t apologise for their snotty delivery, especially when they sing about getting high, getting drunk and throwing up. C’mon, let’s not forget the punk in Garage punk, ok?
These four California kids met in front of a liquor store, all trying to get someone to buy them some 40s. (that’s a big bottle of beer to us Brits), instead opting to team up and get a case of beer together. After the ensuring hangover, The Cigarette Bums were formed and some songs got written, shows got played and now seven of these have been burnt onto tape for whoever likes their music dirty, danceable and fuzz ridden.
Steven Bum, Eamon Bum, Ryan Bum and Gus Bum laid down these tracks with their buddy Wyatt Blair at Lollipop Studios on a sweet reel to reel which was mixed at 4am before hauling ass off on tour. These tracks are for the cats that get down to the 1960’s Rock n Roll from Back from the Grave LP’s, that like to shake it to The Replacements era of punk rock and then worship at the Alter of the Fuzz pedal!!
100 copies on multiple colour cassettes, each with a download code in case you lost your Walkman but still have one of those old fashioned mp3 player things that fit in your pocket.
