Product Description
Taking a cue from Tom Wait’s “Swordfishtrombones” for grooves, then blending it with his obvious love of Paul Simon, the Southern folkster also conjures a mellow psychedelic shimmer throughout. On “Wolves” things even drift into a reggae vibe with washes of dub. David Crosby’s “If Only I Could Remember My Name” is another possible reference point as the feel flows, but there’s also upbeat numbers to provide a contrast. Classy, lovely stuff.
