Scott & Charlene’s Wedding continue with their unique take on tales of the everyday that lit up their debut ‘Para Vista Social Club’ with new 5-track EP which sees them going that much further both musically and thematically with more fantastic soundbites of everyday life.
Developing his scraggy, slacker pop to a whole new glorious level of laconic, melodic magnificence, here we see Craig Dermody really finding his voice with some of the memorable messes of noise weve ever heard.
Craig’s biographical lyrics pick up where the story left off, still eating sausages though this time with thoughts of a girl in New York that he’ll see in two weeks, if he ever gets round to finish the record which seems to be taking FOREVER! The brilliantly catchy, but lyrically kind of disgusting, ‘Gammy Leg’ an upbeat and innocently hilarious story about a work injury, which develops into something even more unpleasant on the basketball court. Having uprooted from Melbourne, Australia to New York, New York, the Big Apple has replaced Melbourne as Craig Dermody’s inspiration for his latest trials and tribulations.
Tracklist: Two Weeks / Gammy Leg / I Wanna Die / My World / Hazy Morning
