The Real Distractions is a co-release between Perennial and K this is international pop underground vol. CXLVIII. Featuring Tobi Vail (Bikini Kill, Frumpies, Spider and the Webs and MODs) as well as scene stalwarts Ricky Meyer (Rik and the Pigs), Peter David Connelly (the mona reels, Bangs, Quayde le Hue) and newcomer KT Ballard.

Recorded live on a 1/2” 4- track and mixed by Capt. Tripps Ballsington in Olympia WA. Mastered by Amy Dragon. This release continues the rich tradition of DIY bands crafting instant pop hits entirely on their own terms, which has long been the hallmark of the International Pop Underground series. Look for the for singles “Stupid”, “Beach Men”, and “Fosta/Sesta” And a show or two....Whatever happens it is quite assuring that whatever these times may bring bands can still put out music as good as this EP.

The Real Distractions love rocknroll. like an old shoebox of orc 45s you would sell your little cousin to get, made new and real by some secret séance of Bo Diddley beats, true touch guitar licks and forever teenage love croons. It’s like they cut up a bunch of bomp and kicks magazines, stuck them back together and made a wish to turn them to a real band. A true love’s wish and it worked. 4 tracks 45RPM.
